OUR STORY

Yew Tree Farm is a small working farm in the Cheshire Countryside and has been in the family for over 40 years.

Diversifying our farm has given us the opportunity to welcome guests in experiencing a taste of Cheshire life and that diversification began with the opening of 'The Cottage' as a holiday rental in 2016 and not long after 'The Stable' and our Caravan Club CL site.

Our cottages have been awarded 'Self Catering Properties of the Year' in the annual Cheshire Tourism Awards 2018, finalist in 2021 and again winners in 2023.

Our CL Site has recently been shortlisted for the CAMC sustainability award (Aug'23)

As a small family business we're quietly proud of our achievements especially our efforts in creating a sustainable environment here on the farm.

We're an approachable, sociable and respectful family so please feel free to stop us for a chat or ask for recommendations in the area.

Our teenage children (when they are here) are always happy to introduce you to their animals and they are quite a knowledgable pair!

THE FARM

The farm is run by solar and biomass. We really like to keep our carbon footprint to the minimum.

Our hobby is rearing sheep. We have a rare breed flock which are our pets and a commercial flock which we rear for our own table.

Come and meet the sheep and learn a little about breeding and rearing animals.

We keep parts of our land un-mown and have plenty of resident wildlife.

We have recently planted 350 native species of trees to encourage the return of wildlife to our farm.

Both cottages have lawned gardens bordered with trees and hedging with wooden seating and charcoal barbecues.

You are welcome to exercise your dogs or have a good game of rounders on our fields too!

Follow us on social media to take a good look round the farm and what we get up to.
