Chesters Makers Artisan Market
Really looking forward to a visit here on Saturday. Over 100 stalls! Quoting the Makers Market: "If you love unique art, quirky modern craft or vintage the Chester Makers Market at The Carriage Shed will have an abundance of frankly stupendous stalls set to inspire. If food and drink is more down your street then fear not as we will have those taste buds tingling in no time at all." Free to attend too.

New additions
Trip to our local livestock auction resulted in the purchase of these beautiful Greyface Dorset lambs yesterday. Looking forward to getting them more tame than they already are as my daughter wants to halter train one to maybe show in the future. Looking forward to that little bit of entertainment!! I'm sure our guests will be delighted with these sheep too. They are adorable indeed.

Last day of summer?
Might this be the last day of summer? The Cottages' garden on a beautiful September morning. Guests enjoyed a relatively warm evening last night with a barbecue and I'm sitting at the bottom of the children's slide with a coffee in shorts and t-shirt and feet in the wet grass. Please let it not be the last!

Fruit picking & jam making time of the year!
We've managed a good few pots of damson and blackberry jam already and there are still loads of blackberries yet to be picked. Fields around the farm are awash with sloes too so guests are welcome to go picking while staying here with us. Hoping our guests enjoy a lovely little pot of sweet stuff for their breakfast over the coming months!
